Bill Sniffin, 61, is a senior member of the media in Wyoming. He is a retired Bill Sniffin editor/publisher of some 20 different newspapers, magazines and other publications in five different states.

Currently, his weekly column is published in a large number of Wyoming newspapers and is syndicated around the region through the Writers on the Range group.

He is current president of Wyoming Inc., a well-known Public Relations and Ad Agency located in Lander. It recently celebrated its fifth anniversary and can be checked out at wyominginc.com. The Agency's key staff is veteran Wyoming newsman Ernie Over.

Where are Wyoming's big thinkers?

It could be stated that Wyoming people have endured 25 years since the last great boom lit up the state's economy.
It was the mid-1980s when oil prices crashed, nationwide demand for energy plummeted, interest rates soared and, overall, dreams hatched during an energy boom turned to nightmares in Wyoming.
Today, we are in the fifth year of the next big boom, folks. And it is a time for optimism. This is a time for the dreamers to dream. A time for big thinkers. A time of innovation.
